Resources for a Called Ministry
Not Just for Youth?
Our target audience is youth, but of course we hope that the stories and lessons built into Called would inspire kids of any age!
We think of youth (everyone, really) as having two types of needs: "felt needs" and "real needs."
Felt needs are what they face on a daily basis; school, friends, family, and all the challenges of life. They experience feelings and needs based on those feelings. They look for solutions.
Real needs are what we all need: forgiveness, mercy and grace, and a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. When these needs are met, then the felt needs are so much easier to deal with.
Our stories and our studies are designed to help connect these needs. Through addressing felt needs, we can build relationships with youth and from there, help them realize their real need. And once they do, then we can help them see how that relationship with Christ DOES address their felt needs too.
And, a key desire for so many youth: it gives them PURPOSE.
